What's a PTO?

The PTO offers both financial and volunteer support to Pinnacle Peak Prep. Each year the PTO provides thousands of dollars that support our teachers, classrooms, school programs, continuing education opportunities, school improvement updates, administrative and staff needs and much more.  Parents also organize, implement, and volunteer at numerous events including Fall Festival, Teacher Appreciation (throughout the year), Movie Nights, Book Fairs, Parent Information Sessions, Art Masterpiece...the list is long :) We appreciate our families and are so glad to be a part of the community. 

Both PTOs and PTAs are established to benefit the children within the school system. However, the primary difference between a PTO and a PTA is that a PTA is part of a larger state and national organization. As such, they are required to pay dues and abide by state and national group rules and in return they receive benefits from this organization such as having a political voice for all children. The dues collected by the state and national PTA organization are used at a much broader level and are not used specifically for the local school
